This study aimed at identifying the efficacy of Diclofenac sodium as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication in allergic conjunctivitis. The efficacy of four times daily dose of Diclofenac sodium 0.1% was studied in a five weeks period. Twenty-seven subjects (16 males and 11 females, ages 6 to 28) entered the study. It comprised 19 cases of vernal catarrhal and 8 cases of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. A highly significant improvement (P< 0.001) on the clinical features was observed after two weeks and five weeks of the use of the drug. None of the patients complained of any side effects. The possible role of diclofenac sodium in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis was discussed
